High Priest Nichinyo Shonin's prayer for the successful accomplishment of the 2009 Tozan:

 

I sincerely pray for the actual achievement of doubling the number of the Bodhisattvas of the Earth and gathering at the Great Assembly for the 750th Anniversary of Revealing the Truth and Upholding Justice though the submission of the Rissho Ankoku-ron 2009

 

 

Myoshinji Temple prayers for the successful accomplishment of the 2009 Tozan:

 

1.  In 2009, the "Year of Revealing the Truth through the Treatise 'On Securing the Peace of the Land through the Propagation of True Buddhism' (Rissho Ankoku-ron)," we are determined to more than double the number of Hokkeko believers who attended the Tozan for the 750th Anniversary of the Establishment of True Buddhism.

 

2.  Following the guidance of High Priest regarding practice for ourselves and for others, we determine to accomplish the shakubuku of one person by each Hokkeko believer every year.

 

3.  Based upon different bodies but one mind (itai doshin), we will achieve Myoshinji's shakubuku goals.

 

 

These prayers should be inserted in the Silent Prayers as follows:

 

Morning gongyo: during the Fourth Silent Prayer - after the prayer for kosen-rufu and before our personal prayers.

 

Evening gongyo: at the beginning of the Fifth Silent Prayer - before prayers for the deceased.

 

You are also encouraged to make every effort to perform gongyo with members of your family.
